Vinted Users Express Anger Over Sizing Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in products showing incorrect sizing.
This online marketplace has altered its size classifications for women's and children's clothes failing to inform all users about the change.
Social Media Reaction
Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a different size category than originally posted because of the remapping.
The company said the revised method more closely matches other platforms.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and manually change the size when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Changes
Previously, the sizing featured one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she explained.
Required Changes
Charlotte Lunn, located in England, said she had been left angered by the change as she had to manually change the sizes on "every single listing".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Service Background
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance that an unexpected update on the platform has faced criticism: last year, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
