EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans were placed on figures that were at the heart of efforts to introduce legislation governing US-based technology firms.

“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led organised efforts to coerce American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official in a social media post. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
